At SIVT, we follow the official Swiss education plan for computer scientists (EFZ). Our ICT programmes combine theory and practice, preparing students to become skilled professionals ready for the job market.
The ICT training lasts 3 to 4 years and follows the Swiss dual-track principle:
Students learn theoretical foundations at school while gaining practical experience through real projects.
This balance ensures that graduates leave the programme with both academic knowledge and several years of professional experience.
The training program spans a total duration of four years. In the first three years, five compulsory modules are completed annually. These modules build upon one another and provide the core competencies of the program. In the fourth year, it is possible to complete five elective modules. The elective modules offer opportunities for specialization, in-depth study, and individual profile development, complementing the foundational knowledge acquired in the previous years.
Participation in all compulsory modules is mandatory in order to obtain the qualification as IT Specialist in Platform Development or Application Development.
The ICT programme consists of 15 mandatory core modules and 15 optional advanced modules (add-ons).
Each module combines classroom learning, lab practice, and real project work with industry partners.
During the education program, the cost amounts to CHF 500. This monthly fee covers the module package of each year and ensures a clear and consistent cost structure throughout the compulsory phase.
Each training year includes a contractual commitment of twelve months. The contract is automatically renewed for an additional year until completion of all core modules, unless cancelled within the defined notice period. This structure ensures binding participation in the compulsory modules for each respective year.

*All prices are listed in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include assessment and certification costs. Payment options per semester or per module are available.
