Your Path to Certification
The SIVT programme is structured to take you from foundational knowledge to certified professional. Theory and practice run side by side throughout — you are always building real, applicable skills.
1. Theory (Online Modules)
You work through structured online modules covering the fundamental concepts, technologies, and methods of your programme. Each module follows the official Swiss Federal curriculum and concludes with an individual assessment. Passing is required before advancing to the next module.

2. Practice (Work)
Alongside your modules, you apply what you learn in practice — on your job or with partner companies. Students already working in an ICT role can often count their current position as their practical training component.

3. Certification (IPA)
After completing the mandatory modules required for the Diploma, students undertake the Individual Practical Assignment (IPA) — a 10-day capstone project that serves as the final qualification project of the programme, assessed by Swiss-certified examiners.
Upon successful completion, you receive a recognised ICT qualification — equivalent to EQF Level 4.
